Let me just say a few more things, I'll give some of ya'll a chance for last word before I lock this thread, because my intention isn't to drop a doozie and then run. And this isn't directed at Apollo, it's directed at multiple people.

I've only been Admin for like 5 weeks? 6? I've been collecting ideas and feedback. I honestly have. In game, on Discord, in USL mail. I was going to push for testing and polling on some of them during this off season, but there was a push by some suggesting we fit the season in before Game of Thrones. Right or wrong, I went with it. Poll was pretty evenly divided after all. This in my opinion hamstringed putting in any kind of significant changes for S17. Agree or disagree. That is where I stand.

S17 isn't even to Week 2, and the way I see, S18 will probably start until around June 2nd, after Easter / GoT / Memorial Day weekend. That can be up for debate obviously, but it makes the most sense imo. So while some of you may think I should be rushing things and starting S18 discussion, I don't want to take attention away from this season. That doesn't mean I'm going to wait for S17 to end by any means, but we're only a week into the current season people. Enjoy this season some. I mean that sincerely.

And last but not least, while I did play USL and SL back during Sony, obviously a lot of you don't know me that well. Players with more of a CTF background probably do know me better, but anyways, I have an extremely sarcastic sense of humor imo. If ya'll can't deal with it, there's not much I can do. I'm in my 30s at this point. This is a game, and I'm here to have fun just like the rest of you. My sense of humor doesn't affect my ability to enforce rules or make unbiased decisions. It honestly doesn't and it won't in the future. This notion because my alias is red now doesn't mean I have to act like some kind of robot, and to be honest I don't feel like I need to change my personality at all.

Like I said, I will make an "announcement" soon that involves a lot of suggestions and ideas I've seen. Polls will come with them. I said in the H. Staff forum when I became Admin that I'm going to listen to ideas and I'm not going to just force my will on the league. I meant that. However, I suggest everyone read Amok's post. Everything shouldn't be voted on. It is the job of the Admin/Staff to sometimes make choices. Not everyone is going to like those decisions, it is what it is.

I think you have done some great things as admin and you are actively trying to make some positive changes happen. I can tell being an admin is a huge undertaking and a headache.
The only thing I didn't like was when it seemed as if you were being passive aggressive and condescending towards Mark (yes, obviously I'm going to white knight for my own bf).
I don't like confrontation. I don't like arguing with people. But what I dislike even more is when people feel the need to patronize others. (And yes, I have called Mark out many times personally for the times I felt he did this to others).
That's all I wanted to say. I don't want my opinion on how you handled the situation with the ridiculous poll situation to make you or others think I don't believe you've spent a lot of time and effort on making this a better community.

Polling is dumb. Just have a discussion instead of using a poll where people just ask others to vote for a certain answer *cough whoa discord requesting to vote yes cough*. We literally are bypassing KR for week 5 because of how awful it is when KR has 37% support from the community l o l

This is just how the league is now, Emp. 3 or 4 people waiting to come out of the woodwork to argue about any topic that arises. Most of it being counter-productive and a waste of time

As someone who has been in Emp's seat for a good majority of FI I will say that polling every idea that comes up is just silly. When you're in a position like administrator it is your job to filter out the good ideas from the bad ideas. It is up to you to know what would be best for the league and the game as a whole. It's not to say that you shouldn't be posting your ideas and discussing them. But if an idea picks up traction and gains a lot of community support that is when you start polling.

In this case, a trade idea is a cool change but not for this league. It would require substantial changes like a salary system, which we tried before and it bombed.

Either way everyone wants what's best for the game otherwise we wouldn't still be here. No one is working against each other. Instead of wasting energy bickering over polls, we could be making some posts with changes we want to see implemented. My personal suggestion would be to look at game play and map changes first.

I wouldn't have stepped away if I didn't have full trust of Emperor. Yes some troll polls, but which one of us admins hasn't done that early on out of boredom. I trust Emp and he has the best intentions in mind for the league. My best suggestion to you is to take everything as a grain of salt. Say ok rather than trying to get into these arguments. Trust me... been there(Brett).

Would also echo a lot of Chris/Champs thoughts, if staff/developers were able to, it would be great to have some kind of test zone for any new changes/ideas brought in to a test zone around mid-season so that people can test and review what they find good or bad.

Viewing the mood around here it seems that there just isn't enough time to test some features out.
