Leftovers was an average ending. Oz was meh. Wire I liked a lot. Sopranos was trash. 6ft under was godlike. BB was amazing. The americans was awesome. The Sheild was top notch. Dexter Blew. Lost was putrid.
Even shows with bad endings will be looked upon as G.O.A.T. shows. We won't care as much in 5 years.

In defense of The Wire the final episode was pretty good everything else in that season was just meh. And you can at least see what they were getting at in that each season focused on one part of Baltimore. Just ironic that the guy writing the show made the job he had in real life the worst part of the show.

And I'm not a book reader, but keep in kind, a few key differences -
1) Dorne got butchered by D&D, GRRM might be writing one day and really expand on that and they end up being more integral to the ending?
2) Euron is way different in the book.
3) Jon Connington and Fake Aegon over in Essos?
4) the Warlocks and Qaithe?
Lot of stuff completely removed from the show that might end up playing bigger parts than GRRM knew at the time or stuff that D&D knew were important but just said f it.

Lets spend 10 years making a show portraying Dany evolve and build her army for an epic fight while freeing slaves and fighting for the people only to just have a dragon destroy the whole city, killing innocent women and children totally contradicting what her character was all about for the last 10 years. You cannot help but feel disappointed. If they made her semi-crazy earlier with subtle hints of her wanting this revenge it wouldn't feel like a cheap way to end the episode.

I agree with most points, but they've been hitning a mad queen since the beginning:
She watches her brother die in front of her without flinching.
Her vision of the throne room in season 2 was not snow it was ash.
Dragons burn and eat the leaders of mareen.
Destroys all other Khals in the hut with herself inside of it.
Sets Sam's family ablaze for not bending the knee.
+everything that happens from episode 1 til now. Her lover betrays her by telling his family, her closest advisors also spread these rumors. She sees this as a direct contradiction to their suppot of her because it would reveal Jon as the one true king.

I've been told the Season 2 vision from the House of the Undying was supposed to be ash and snow. Winter came and fire had destroyed the red keep together. It was supposed to be representative of Ice & Fire I guess.

They really are going to put a cherry on top of this shit sundae and have Jon Snow end up on the throne. That would last all of about 2 weeks before someone revolted and knocked him out of power.
