For anyone who has had a chance to play on this map, what are your thoughts? Mostly so people who haven't yet can get an idea. Are there any glaring issues that need to be addressed?
Keep in mind that I have an update pending that opens up tap a little bit more and closes off the outside portion to the north. As well as making the way south choke a little more titan friendly, since Collective can still get in there much faster.

great for a pub map.
tap edits effectively makes KR larger and easier to hide on.
-close off tap
the edits to weed and the F5/F3 mountain range really open up the map - awesome for pub play/mix BUT when it comes to squad play that means there are 5x as many possibilities where the enemies could be coming from as well or setup when you are traversing through the area.
-Makes it too hard to predict where your enemies will be
-Too hard to confidently go through the area without risk of ambush.
-Too hard to lead newbies / not-so-great player in those areas due to complexity of possible scenarios

tap edits were reversed somewhat. it's no longer one big building but it's not exactly as it was before.
the edits to the map that open things up at f3/f5/weed were to prevent stalemate battles and prolonged camping. making it hard to predict where your enemies will be is better than knowing you're safe in a spot that's too easy to hold. collective had it way too easy when it came to south battles.
people keep saying they want more battles/fighting and less sitting around. these changes should promote a much faster pace on this map, as well as making titan feel good.
at the end of the day these were changes made to try and give life back to a map that people started to hate. I've used my experience from playing on it for the last 20 years and gotten input from other captains/leaders. there have only been like 3 or 4 actual squad battles on it but they've gone smoothly from what I've seen. and if the updates aren't well received during the season I have no problem revisiting them in the off-season to try and work things out.

Multiple area of attacks is good for usl not bad
Making it hard to predict where enemies are is good for usl not bad
Revamping KR's effectiveness and shifting some battles away from mesa is good for usl not bad

I don't think it is going to shift battles away from Mesa, but man it is wide open down there now with the extra flank areas. It is 100% not a long drawn out stalemate of a battle and forces you to actually pay attention to the game and your map or you are getting pinched fast.

I haven't played on the newest version but I remember when he released it mid-season the path under the old 86 at the south east under the map opens up so many opportunities.

I flanked dp so many times and cesar left him to die. it was amazing.
I personally love the edits. of course because it was a mix people want to fight as much as possible so we didn't really use north at all. but the f3 and weed edits I like a lot as well.

The edits are great, definitely breaks up the monotony of KR classic. Forces teams to play faster, which is great as well.
I agree with others about the north, we need to get some battles up there. BB, Yosh and I tried last night, but we ended up just leaving our team to die lol
