Added in penalties for people who miss games. It's not huge unless you miss more than 50% of the total games in a season. It increases gradually. This is to prevent people from playing a stat pad game and keeping a big rating for the whole season.

Everyone who's # of games played matches the # of total matches played should have the same rating still. There was a very very minor tweak so some ratings may have changed a decimal or 2.

Why should the actual rating itself be punished just because someone missed a game? Just make it so a person has to have a certain amount of games to qualify to make the top 10.

Also why punish players by listing them that they played full games when they didn't? If someone played 15 minutes then it should be .5 games played ? Seems like common sense to me

Speaking of ratings, I was curious about the marine award. Is there a way to have some sort of prerequisite to the marine medal. For instance "Rating of 90+ and 75kills" to even qualify, but a voting poll from players on a squad that's registered for season 3. If that makes sense.

I don't know if the rating of 90+ and 75 kills would make sense, since the formula for calculating the rating has already incorporated this.

I'm not speaking of the rating, I'm referring to what qualifies to win the marine reward.

I'm actually not too sure if the award was based off rating or kills? I remember season 18, Cronus snaked that award from me, I think I had I a higher rating or I think we were tied or something but he had like 1 or 2 more kills. But my point is, I think something like that should be voted by throughout the community (those who participated in the season)

This is dumb. Games played should have no effect. If you're worried about someone doing a Stat pad game the strength of schedule should be factored in, not how many games you play. Not everyone plays Stat pad games and this penalizes anyone who will sit for other people in those games. This doesn't even remotely make sense

This is how the old rating system worked. Just implementing it back in. Your rating didn't stay the same every week.

Havok: That is already in place. Look at people's profiles. If someone didn't play a full game it will reflect that.

Draco: doesn't matter. as long as you were in that match you're fine. it will still count as playing a game.

Your rating is slightly lower only because 2 of those 3 wins you played in you didn't play the full game so you don't get full credit for the wins. Only a percentage.

I might change the penalty % once we get a few more games in just to have more sample sizes.
