Let us not wallow in the valley of despair, I say to you today, my Infantry friends.
So even though I face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in my love for the game. I have a dream that one day this game/league will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all players are created equal.
We are divided, from Oct vs Tyrael, Backs vs Bowen, Backs vs Fausto, Backs vs Victim, Backs vs MBX, Splittah vs Colossal, Eric vs Splittah, Mountain vs H, Axidus vs Jim, Eva vs Everyone, Ice vs Splittah, H vs Backs, Oct vs MP, TG vs Splittah, Mecca vs Halfcut, Neg vs Fausto, etc.
Do you not see we are DIVIDED? We have lost the meaning of our league, We are UNIFIED SKIRMISH LEAGUE, but right now we’re divided. We won’t last like this.
I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Crimson Valley, the sons of Backs and the sons of League Admin/Devs will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.
I have a dream that one day even the state of USL, a league sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.
I have a dream that my four little nephews will one day play in a league where they will not be judged by the colors of their words but by the content of their comedy and how they act on discord, not in game chat. I have a dream today.
I have a dream that one day down in Mountains Map with its vicious open corridors, I’ll be able to play sniper and macro like I used to. I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places with rough vision will be made whole and the crooked physics will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.
This is My hope. This is the faith that I go back to USL with after my ban has been served. With this faith, we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our Unified Skirmish League into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood. With this faith we will be able to work together, to play together, to laugh together, knowing that we will all be brothers one day.
This will be the day when all of God's children will be able to sing with new meaning: My league, 'tis of thee, sweet league of liberty, of thee I sing. League where my brother TC died, from every USL map, let freedom ring.
And if this League is to be a great league again, this must become true. And so let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of Kliests Ridge. Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of Bombs map. Let freedom ring from the snowcapped Rockies of the Christmas Version of Outpost Delta. Let freedom ring from the curvaceous slopes of Mountains Map. But not only that, Let freedom ring from every building and cock rock of EC.
And when this happens, and when we allow freedom ring, when we let it ring from every squad and every hamlet, from every discord and every squad chat, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children…
