So I'm not one to ask for donations or try and squeeze money out of anyone but paying for the hosting has become taxing on me for reasons no one needs to know or cares about but if anyone can donate to the web hosting that would be great.

Moreover, can there be a bit more transparency when it comes to money needed for either website or game server and who has donated as recognition? It may get more people to donate if they physically saw where money was going to. Just a thought.

There is a post labeled 'Congrats chica' that shows where the donation money is going for server.

I'm still not entirely sure how to track who donates because it goes by real name and I would probably need to do it manually. I'd like to figure out how the IGBL website did it and incorporate that but no one over there ever got back to us when we asked.

The website is roughly 30 bucks a month which isn't nearly as much as the server but it adds up. 360 dollars a year + renewal fees + some addons + the domain name end up being around 400-420 a year.

Maybe you'll get better luck with them, I tried asking how they do it and got no answer. Also since PayPal goes by real name, we'd need a list of aliases to match with the name. I think you can make notes on the tools of paypal.

I really don't think that many people donate. It shouldn't be too hard, get them to post with the amount they donated and then its done
