Im finally home and GOD DAMN, ... my sum up from 2 hours of reading.

MAP MAP MAP - Let me just say this once, the first time there was a vote, APOLLO WON! Insane amount of polls after that and still the same result. Should have stuck with it the first time. All that time wasted could have been used to improving the map like some did.

New rule suggestion - ONLY SQUADED PLAYERS GET TO VOTE. Would solve a lot of drama.

Map rotations will be in some time this week but definitely before sunday. Ill do a final vision/physic bug check because -cough-onlytakesme3orlesshours-cough- to fix. Spawns will be fixed too, as for events.. not going to lie im pretty lazy and doing all that copying over so HEY PALM.. how do you doing friend? If someone wants to put the events in, ill do all the lio editing for them for that map and also script the new ones in for the bottom areas.

All jokes, anyways apollos is up in usl with minor physics and vision fixes, spawn points in, along with the mini game on the side playable and tuckers cave fixed. Bombs map is up on the test zone. I'll finish the map after work today. Apollo has the updates as well if anyone can add the mini games in for me. 1 hour 30 mins. Get Gud.

Agreed with every but the Apollo map issue/voting. People were allowed to vote on it before playing on it. That's why you saw the changes in votes after it was put up. This map will not be good on lower tier squads but obviously folks don't care about that.

I'm currently working on adding all the mini maps to my map .. about half way done.. just need to go back and add all the physics and vision (the boring part) unless some1 else wants to do it :D

I don't need to make any suggestions about anything. The basic one that I have has to do with the initial introduction to the map and the voting, which has gotten the league to this point. I don't like speeding past situations just because the 3rd vote on the matter says so. It was a complete debacle from the beginning and each time it was left to the polls it pointed toward something different then what is being pushed. Also, give time for people to adjust to the map. Bombs map was up and I guess folks are suppose to be ready just because it was switched recently. That's like the NFL changing the rules on touchdowns right before the season begins in September. You guys messed up on this one and it's sad you guys can't even acknowledge that. Either give more time between season's for things like this to work itself out or extend the beginning of the upcoming season. But don't ask me for my opinion (via vote) and don't wanna hear the feedback about it. If that's going to be the case then don't ask for the public vote on the matter just make the damn change and move on.

You make a blanket statement that lower tier squads are fucked then instead of offering any constructive criticism to help the map, you refuse to comment on it at all. Then you go on a rant about how you don't like the way the map situation was handled.

So why should we consider your opinion at all?

1) Comparing this game to the NFL, LOL

2) My map was up longer than bombs map, it gave squads ample time to play on it

3) no map was set it stone, everyone has known for weeks it would be mine or bombs

4) You bitching about it now accomplishes what?

Even your squadleader didn't want Bombs map up, because he kept getting raped in his DS by checkmate and there was literally no way to get out of it. It's your fault if you couldn't find the test zone. But don't try to put blame on any admin. And to delay the season to give you more time to practice on it? Sounds like a great idea.

Ultimately the right decision was made regarding the maps. Waiting any longer to decide on what map to play on will do absolutely no good for the community, 3 weeks off is long enough. I've given Apollo enough shit about his map but it's the better option compared to Bomb's map. If you're bringing in the argument that Apollo's map is harder for lower tier squads then you'd have to accept Bomb's map is equally difficult. When snakes sb'd nm on bomb's we had them pinned at their own base for nearly the entire match. If anything it's harder to rape on apollo's map.

I'm still not sure how either Apollo or Bomb's maps could be said to be harder for the lower tiered squads. When comparing to KR/EC, it seems to me that the lower/mid tier squads have a much better chance on these newer maps. I think it was Sov that made the point that Apollo's and/or Bomb's maps are more conducive to reactionary leading/playing, and when you are going up against seasoned leaders such as Khaos, kippa, Apollo, etc, that is a real plus.

I know there are a couple SBs for friends that we have played a good game or at least a close one, where if this season were on KR we'd have been destroyed. Just saying.

1.) I can compare this situation to any sport or concept that fits this circumstance. Freedom of speech.

2.) I've personally sb'd three times on your map. How many times have other squads can say they have? My point on extended time.

3.) You can be pinned down on any map that the USL could offer.

4.) You proved my point. Don't ask for public opinion if you already set on the same map. No vote, no nothing.

Furthermore, Apollo you acting like a arrorgant piece of shit but will you even win the championship on your own map? Like yeah, I may not win it either but I hope there's some advantage "you think" you might have with creating your own map. Again, if you don't like the input don't ask for it in the first place. You fuckers messed up in the beginning and now you're hearing about it. Like what the fuck, nothing anybody says on here will change that, just like we can't change the fact we're stuck with this shitty map created by a shitty player. Good job USL I can't wait until the next season. At least we know Apollos map won't be up. Put up LZ, KF, EC, bombs, etc anything but this crap.

The good thing is, even though I "messed up", I'm not hearing much about it. Just a few disgruntled players, but that's to be expected with any decisions.

I'm not sure that Apollo spent hours of his free time creating a new map so he can win an online game. I think he did it to respond to a challenge/contest put out to everyone to win $50 (which he donated to the server after winning).

I agree, you're not required to make suggestions about anything. We probably could have handled the polling a little more effectively, but I'm not sure that we terribly mishandled anything like you're implying. I'm not sure what you mean when you say "pointed toward something different then what is being pushed". I think the best way for you to look at it is this: (1) people liked the way Apollo's map looked and wanted to play on it, (2) they weren't crazy about the way it initially played and wanted to try something else so they wanted Bomb's map up, (3) after playing on both, the vote was still nearly tied and we used the captain vote to break the tie on which map we played. No map was pushed on anybody, the public opinion (yourself included) was considered, everyone should be happy! (except the people that -really- wanted to play on Bomb's map, maybe - but again... that's to be expected)

Lol I had a nice response to Armor before it got erased. Anyway, I would not have responded that way if you didn't call the input/criticism "bitching". I've been nothing but happy with administration and those who keep the server going. Armor my beef is not with you and I appreciate the feedback. My suggestions are to 1.) give squads more time to practice on map, 2.) Don't poll public if you can't take the feedback, and 3.) Give more time between season's for things to sort itself out instead of having to push, rush, and spew out whatever. Maybe you have had too many run-ins with the opposite sex and can't differentiate the contrast between "bitching" and constructive criticism/input.
