The admin needs to do less work. They only need to have final say like yes or no like the example of hiring refs. All the work should be done by the head ref. This is how it used to be done. They take the applications, actually do a test so they know the rules before powering the alias, then go over refs you chose to hire with the admin to make sure it is ok. Finally, the head ref powers the aliases.

That's pretty fair actually... your head ref is the one you want reffing the champ match, etc. and making the final calls... "training" and selecting referees, etc.

Right now, the admin would be organizing captains to see how many squads are in, selecting the head ref & making sure they have the staff needed to make the season run & set the timeline for kickoff. Navy is kind of doing some of that with his posts (props there). Communication via home page & forum so everyone's in the loop & momentum stays up, coordinating any changes (misfires, etc.) also fall under this.

You can't test refs for bias. That's the problem.

so we elect an admin but the admin hand picks a head ref? This ain't the usa.

Community should be the final say in situations. Why are people ousting and bitching at admins? Because inevitably their squads are involved in a scandal, and it's almost impossible to make a fair decision.

squad Capts should vote when to start the season and decisions in that nature.
