Rocketeer + Grenader ==> Artillery Support

Assault Trooper + Sapper ==> Assault Trooper

I think it might be worth trying.

Adding the Rockets to Grenader gives Grenader more flexibility in open battles. While still making it extremely strong for those battles involving hills and rocks.

Giving Assault Trooper the Demo Packs and Incinerators gives it even more power in charging in and getting the battles started.

Strong possibility one or both could be OP. But what do you guys think about trying the combinations? Could always tweak some of their settings as well. To find that balance.

I think AT would be OP as fuck with those changes

But I'd really dig artillery support, esp. if it had bouncy nades and the rocket

Would maybe giving the Sapper just the AT Dual Pistol weapon be more balanced?

Scrapping the Armor and Chainsaw?

AT is just so deadly up close/medium giving them a demo would be super deadly. Maybe if you bumped them to 100hp and taking away armor woudl be okay

I still think giving support classes an ammo box to drop and removing marine/lmg ammo from medics would be cool. If you reduce marine/lmg ammo capacity it would really increase the need to run support classes.

I don't see Sappers much except in public play and that's usually just dudes joking around

Yea, I don't know how hard it would be to do but you give them a one time use item that they respawn with that drops a little ammo depot and it lasts for like 30 seconds to a minute. And I think the ammo depot should give every kind of ammo depending on what class you are when you click on it.

I think decreasing ammo just makes camping even more of a problem.

I don't think it would. If anything having 450 ammo is what causes camps. I think that number is too high.

tomorrow is our h staff meeting and hellspawn should be there so he can get to work on any and all class changes that are put forward.

All changes we bring up will be put onto the forums to be viewed and discussed and then voted on.

Give grenadiers throwing knives, not rockets. take away shotgun explosive. they are similar anyway

Less ammo = less camping? People go into scared mode when under 200 ammo as it is and don't want to waste so there's less fights.

I get your thought process as to people would have to push because they can't have long drawn out fights, but I think the alternative of conserving ammo and playing passive is way more likely, given our current leaders in games.

Automated random artillery strikes when teams camp too long. MOVE OR DIE.
Mizz can script this easy. Ammo reducing will not work to reduce camping. Nor will more ammo help.


imo, assault trooper is just not a fun class to play or play against. never belonged in usl to begin with. lack of long range will forever make it either lame or useless. theres no balanced inbetween

sapper could use some love, what about giving it a PDW?

Beef Grenadier grenades by 10-20 damage, they are way too hard to land 1 hit kills right now.
That and a beef on shotgun explosives , either faster projectile speed or less reload. Or even giving grenadier PDW instead of shotgun explosives.

Sniper could really use a buff. Either 70-79 hp snipes or increase it's own HP back to 80. Sniper vs Sniper battle 1 hit kills don't add anything to gameplay or tactics that helps.
