Best lineup in the history of infantry possibly:

Akzel, Jekyll, Delcor, Legacy, Khaos, Blitz, kaga, hung

Dr. JeJo, Silent, Sky, Trisance, Armor, Zizzer, Zang, SKM (Can't remember exactly who played in the ff vs u 3-2 OT. splittah was in there maybe)

Because of the time zone and being young i watched all of these matches cos i could never play leagues really and was bad. I have to say ff vs U matches were just on a different level to anything infantry has shown for a long time.

SFO are undeniably the best group of players right now. Instead of making excuses why not look to get better and try to beat them in the future. The attitude is strange in infantry, people were happy that SFO didn't return. Why? Wouldn't you prefer a shot at beating them instead of playing with them? Making excuses is simply weakening yourself and stunting chances of improvement. kippa, Khaos, Herc, EASOE, Sov, Champion were all players who at one point were putting up huge numbers on bad squads vs good squads who banded together to make a super squad. It isn't impossible for another squad to do the same and compete if the excuses stopped and people actively look to improve. If you can rank consistently on a weaker squad it is the start to a bright future.

It is also undeniable that if players like Trisance could actually show on Sundays you would have seen more exciting matches so far on free infantry.

I still belive free infantry is at the stage where it can develop rivals, legacys and legends in it's own right especially with how advanced the website is now and the bigger and better resos/mouses/keyboards. It's inevitable in this day and age players will become better than SOE infantry.

Will a modern era like and rivalry u and ff arise?

was the first leader to bring a bunch of n00bs together on DI and cause some big upsets. All new leaders should aspire to be the leader kippa was for DI and i'm sure he'd be willing to give people tips/strategies that are leading this season (looks @ ayb, Palm, r, MIKEC THE FREESTYLE 2 GOD.)

also drift & darth for being good enough to beat sfo with not as good lineups.

We had a pretty amazing lineup on FF and still lost :(

Ninja is 100% percent right. The reason why I find usl boring is because players aren't developing and challenging some of the players that have been around for a while. Idk what it is but back on soe we always had up and coming players who challenged monkey, skm, blitz, leg, akzel and those other greats. I'm my opinion even surpassed some of them, I don't see that with free infantry which sucks. Rip the golden age

the only reason why SFi lost to you guys was because akzel forced me to play in a trash computer with 40 fps instead of playing Jassy and starting kaga as a marine. I really don't see how you can even compare SFi to SFo, SFi was destroying every squad during pracs and real scrims for so long it seem like we would never lose. Not to mension that we had the best leader in this game in KVQ (also secondary leaders like blitz, akzel and me). Comparably I don't even believe SFo did more than what Jugg did either. I think you nigs need to humble down and realize u guys aren't the best ever nor never will be.

I just find it difficult to be humble to a guy that got 1 clipped from uni2k.

What is your excuse for SFo owning SFi entrance tournement and during the season and like every single sb that season - we dominated SFi so much every SB/match we would chase and bully you around the map. We also had North on v2 in the champ match giving you all the advantage in the champ match lol.

It was myself and tee's first real season on a good USL squad with championship credentials, we were a brand new squad put together by khaos, we had dog/pred also as rine, although through activity and khaos leading he turned us into champs.

End of the day you got out-lead, out-played and definitely out-classed. Maybe you are the one who should be more "humble".

Kippa I don't know if I'd bring up splittah vs uni2k, although hilarious. When you got law'd in the face by SM in a match to lose a playoff game. While trying to talk shit no doubt. Just saying.

Kippa, I don't even think you were around when all those SFi, NB, etc were active and in their prime. You didn't see the competition level back then. SFo was/is definitely the best at the end of USL but SFo wouldn't have been as victorious as they were here at the end.

Just like you say TS caught you when you stopped caring, I feel like you could say you caught SFi when they stopped caring. They had been around since the beginning.

True. ST was beast. Those were fun seasons.

ST killed and was pretty stacked and still lost to NB in the playoffs one season. Competition was so high back then.

Honestly, you couldn't really "stack" a squad back then because 3-4+ squads could get "stacked" and you always had competition.

With lower activity, it's easier to stack one team and mow through lineups because there's more of a chance that you managed to grab all or most of the guys at the top of the highest tier and it's really hard to run against 8 top players when you're holding 2-3 on your roster. Back then, you would have at least 4 teams with ridiculous lineups and there was a ton of competition and rivalry. FF vs. u were some of the best matches. Arcane vs. Surgical was fun, too.

Working on posting the Arcane vs. Surgical championship today. For some reason, I don't have a working copy of Game 1 (CB's fault!) when Surgical stomped us 16/0... but Game 2, Game 2 OT, and Game 3 all look good.

That season when ST lost to NB was probably the best in terms of competition. I think ST went undefeated that season and ended up losing in the playoffs vs. NB who had guys like JeJo/Splittah/em4awon/ImC. I remember the other semifinal was Rage beating SF by 1 kill and it ended with SF chasing Rage through north mid as time ran out. good times ^_^
