Yes, we've had a bunch of them (polls) - but now both have been played on.

<b>Assuming we can't do a map rotation</b>, there are really only two options in play here. Apollo's Map and Bomb's Map. Please vote for one, or if it really makes no difference to you, vote that option.

Let's aim to have all votes in by Sunday the 26th so that we'll know, a week ahead of time, what map is preferred heading into the season. With the 08/02/2015 week included, that should give squads two weeks to practice on whatever map is chosen.

When did we all decide not to use EC or KR? Was that before some of us saw how shitty both of these maps are?
Just wonderin since all of the map polls so far had been premature. Seems like deciding to use one of these over proven maps was premature also.

Bomb's map has been used in a couple seasons already so it seems legit to me. EC/KR are up every other season, time for a change imo

I wouldn't mind KR. I'm pretty sure most of bombs vote wouldn't mind that either. I think it's because a certain squad said "lol im not gonna play if we keep using the same maps".

Mine won the first poll - without people playing on it
Bombs won the second poll - without people recently playing on it

It's just one season that isnt KR or EC, it's not the end of the world.

Can we make it so people that have played USL at least 1 game in the last 3 seasons can vote on polls? People like Drift/Bomb who don't even play anymore shouldn't have a say on what or how we play the league. Same should apply to people that don't even play USL.

Personally I would like to play on Apollo's map, but if it happens to be Bomb's than so be it but we should look into figuring out what map will be used for the following season by the end of playoffs, not a week or two before season start. That way people can't complain that they didn't have enough time to learn or get used to a map.

I think the admins consider the captains/staff votes more than general pop. Which is probably a better barometer of the consensus of the league.

you're right sov, I said if it's KR/EC I'm not playing, I'm not holding the league ransom I just have no interest on playing on those maps. I'd transfer captaincy to tg or something and snakes would live on.

I agree with ernie though, peoples votes like fang and gee who have never unspec'd in USL are making the poll look closer than it actually is.

These maps are no where near good enough. They feel absolutely god awful to play on and you are taking the originality out of USL.


Just put KR up. The original USL Map and the true test.

I feel the same way mecca if we are playing a map full of vision bugs and still needs more alteration, but is only consider worth playing because the admin is biased.
Ernie is right. Daes/Sara/Fang/Drift/Bomb/certain others just need to be disqualified. I may be blind but I don't see gee on there mecca. Is he using another alias?

We currently have 67 with 2 more days to go for voting. I imagine we'll hit 77+ this time around, though I'm still not sure what you're aiming at with that point.

You seem awfully upset that the ball doesn't appear to be blatantly bouncing towards your map choice. Do I prefer Apollo's Map? Yep. That's why I voted for it. Do I have any issue with Bomb's map? Not really. I've never played on it, but just as you - as a player - prefer a map, I - as a player - likewise prefer a map.

I'm unsure as to where `Bias` comes into the situation or where I supposedly fucked up. I didn't actively petition for a new map prior to the season or during these past few weeks of map qq on the threads (aside from placing my vote). Likewise I didn't make any of the previous map polls. (The first was Mecca, the second was Armor.) The only thing I've done is attempt to accelerate the situation into being decided by Sunday so we can end the debate two weeks prior to the start week 1. (You're welcome.)
