<span class=summary-title>Breakdown </span><br><br><span class=summary>__________ FiN@L~F@Te __________
As others have mentioned, FF is a squad that looks quite good on paper but due to chemistry issues, and the high level of competition this season, they haven't yet been able to execute very well. This is almost surprising considering Legend/Khaos2 (out here trying to confuse everybody with his latest alias change) is leading. He's a very talented leader but I guess, in a way, FF's lack of success so far proves that his leadership style owes some of its success to having players like Devil and Easoe beside him when it's time to push.
It could also be said that he almost always feels it's "time to push" but to be honest he might have to change up his style if he's going to find a higher level of success this season.
As for FF's medic situation, well, it's certainly an interesting experiment. Drake and Uzo have been forced to med (maybe they volunteered but I doubt it) and that could end up paying off if they transform into amazingly effective top-tier medics. But most likely they'll just do a satisfactory job.
In my opinion what it all comes down to for FF is whether FF's marines can step up and play like Special Forces reincarnated. If they undergo a transformation and come out feeling inspired and confident, they might be able to pull an upset here against Snakes and ride that momentum into the rest of the season. If not, they'll probably continue to be a middle-tier threat that could still randomly pull an upset at any time.
Ideal FF Line-up:
Monkey
Extreme(1)
Maddux [after dueling for 2 hours against Uzo and feeling like his old self]
Colossal
Killer
Tyrant
Uzo(Med)
Drake(Med)
Player to watch: Maddux. I know "player to watch" is supposed to mean the potentially most outstanding player or something. But it could also be taken to mean "most entertaining player to watch." To me, it will just be fun to watch Maddux and see how rusty or non-rusty he is. If he accidentally laws a rock or something everyone could laugh. If he pulls off some ownage, ppl can be like, OK cool maddux is really out here tonight.
__________ snakes ___________
Not much I can say about snakes that hasn't already been said. Along with friends and Bronzie Bears (wth is a bronzie bear?) they're in the top 3. (The guys on Worms have been SB'ing together every night in the "club" arena for like 8 years though so you can never count them out--good chemistry and some good marines.)
snakes is: Mecca and Apollo with their brains over braun leading styles; top marines; great medics; great chemistry. I always think of Apollo as being like "r" on worms. Never really hurting his squad with lack of skill but never standing out or pulling off any crazy ownage either.
If snakes sticks to what it knows and FF doesn't come out with amazingly perfect aim and dodging and magically catch snakes in bad positions every battle, snakes will win this one. To be honest I'd like to see an upset by FF just for some excitement. But I doubt it will happen.
Look for the squad that wins this one to utilize a lot of instances where their marines suddenly swing to the other group, leave 1 or 2 to hold a choke against 3 or 4 enemies, thus allowing their main group to push with superior numbers.
Ideal snakes line-up:
The three L's: Leak, Legacy and Liquid
Tactical
OMC
Mecca
with Fax and Harley holding it down with the yellow vests.
Player to watch: Again creating my own definition of what "player to watch" means, I'm going to suggest spectating Apollo. It's always fun to watch him and try to figure out whether he sorta sucks or is actually kind of good. (<3)
Projected final score:
56-34 for snakes with perhaps tg as MVP
