Award Suggestion

Personally I think its pointless to have an award for most kills. I do think the idea for Deadliest Marine is genius and really gives more people an opportunity to win it. I think we should follow SL's idea for player profiles because I think most people would agree that they had it right, it was the best thing about SL.
Deadliest Marine = Combined score vs top 4 squads, should be easy to sort out. With rating only being a tie-breaker.
Deadliest Medic = Combined score vs top 4 squads, should be easy to sort out. With rating only being a tie-breaker.
In addition we should add RECOGNITIONS like SL. These are just some ideas obviously we could get creative. We could even create some that popped up in Red for negative stats.
Example - (Top 5 KPG) (Top 5 Kills) (Top 5 Kills/Deaths) (Playoff Captain) (Championship Captain) -- (Top 5 Kills Med) (Top 5 APG Med) (Top 5 Kills/Deaths Med) --(All-Star - 3 Players from each squad in playoffs - 1 from each non playoff Team) (Top 5 Rated)
Negative Ones - (Top 5 DPG) (Top 5 LPPG) (Top 5 Total Deaths)
Minimum - 75% of Games played so people don't stat pad it.
APG = Assist Points Per Game
DPG = Deaths Per Game
LPPG = Least Points Per Game
Playoff/Championship Captain = Given to who leads not who created squad, so people get rewarded for leading.
I think having recognitions like above for med would really encourage players to play MED/Lead/ and play overall.
This way people on bad squads can still get recognitions for playing well and will more likely be recruited for a better squad.

nobody cares about deadliest medic
p.s. it's not deadliest if it's just a sample size

Will re-post some rough notes I sent to Champion before for fun - recognition/achievements are week-to-week things you can work in. Whether they play into the rating formula in any way or not, could still add some instant gratification each week.
2. It would be a cool idea to focus more on achievements assigned out each week than purely ratings. Most kills for the week goes to one player (out of all games). Survivor achievement for least deaths (or less than x% of team's deaths). Carry achievement for more than x% of team's kills. Etc...
3. Marine/Killer rating formula... Should be focused on individual stats only. % of team kills vs. an expected baseline... kill/death ratio.... etc. (being on a good squad vs. your impact making the squad more competitive - need to find ways to isolate the two a little)
4. Medic rating formula... focused on % of team's deaths relative to a baseline of some sort (what % should a medic usually make up). Factor in assist points & play seconds. Team k/d should probably play in.

Yes it's called "being good". You should try it.

Then you make more achievements that matter, Snake. You might have to factor in competition or you could do a community vote on MOTW to highlight players that showed up big in games that mattered. That was a very narrow-minded response; but obviously none of my suggestions have to be acted upon and I am in no way saying they're the best ideas.
