You should not penalize people for not playing complete games its just not fair really, someone shouldn't be blamed for being subbed in or out for that matter. The rating system already had a bonus after 5 games completed i thought? please correct me if im wrong. It should have been left at that. If not you're giving double the penalty for one issue which would make absolutely no sense.

The point of the penalty or bonus is to penalize people who only come to stat pads or show up to easy games not people who show up to every game and then get subbed.

Instead of looking at this season for a basis which you guys do all the time stop changing things for what it looks like now! The season is not complete so it will always be skewed in one direction or another. Focus on last seasons stats and ratings and make sure it makes sense before making changes.

Whatever you had input at the beginning of the season is way better off than what you have now, I thought you guys were just going to implement medic ratings why do you guys keep messing with marine ratings at all?

If its not adding competition you should have just left it alone completely. Makes no sense to continue tweaking things weekly when there was only one flaw with what we finished with for last season which was adding competition.

Your rating always went down in USL if you missed a game. It never stayed the same every week. If that was the case Rob Zomby would still be the #1 rated medic in the league having only played 1 game. And he would have continued to stay at a 90.something for the remainder of the season if there was no penalty. There HAS ALWAYS BEEN ONE. And there always should be. Especially if we want these ratings to reflect the players better. Simply hiding people from the top 10 isn't going to mask the fact that you can play 1 game and get a really good rating and keep it on your profile.

If you want to maintain your rating, keep playing. It's as simple as that.

It had to be changed because if not then everyones ratings from last season would not be different, it has been changed and changed weekly almost. Which is really my main point here =)

About your rating going down if you dont play thats fine i guess but the penalty should stop at some point so if you play 5 games it should stop =)

and yes khaos I remember there being a 5 game bonus but for some reason I think it was 10 games .. but I remember a rating being lifted after a certain amount of games

Havok I think you're confused. All I did was add the penalty back. That's what I mean by there was ALWAYS A PENALTY. Aka SOE USL.

Had to manually code it in since I don't have the old USL site files.

Still not sure what you're talking about with the formula. The formula and the penalty are 2 entirely different scripts. The formula itself calculates the player's ratings. Then the penalty script checks if the player's game amount and either reduces that rating # or keeps it the same.

Not sure how I can explain that any easier for people who don't understand coding.
