I don't see anything wrong with a poll and I agree with Champ. If people vote for 6 then it would obviously be something to implement for next season. I think the same should apply to every other rule that would want to be implemented. Unless it is something drastic that got overlooked and needs to be change immediately.

I'm going to give my two cents on the topic. By the end of week 4 or 5 we will then know which squads will be in the top 4 and which in the bottom 4. Once that is decided, the competition factor that you guys are talking about ends for the bottom 4 squads, which gives them really no reason to sb during the week or even show sundays. This is where our 3 week inactive season ending comes from.

So lets say, for argument sake, every squad has 12 active members. We know some have more and some have less, so for argument sake, 12. By week 4-5 we will have 48 players who have no incentive to log into the game anymore because their season has ended, and there's no more pub due to the active 48 people sbing. We're practically cutting our active sbing community in half by not allowing 6. I've always been for 6 squads making play offs, and not cause of the squad I'm on because I've been on winning teams as well, so leave that at the door. The reason has always been activity.

On the other hand, the downfall to having 6 squads make play offs is that the first couple games will be "easy" and it takes away from the regular season. This is true, and false at the same time. It does take away a little from the regular seasons meaning and impact, but you're still fighting for 6 play off spots, and also for seeding in the playoffs. Seeding means A LOT in playoffs, as im sure you're all aware. So there still is a meaning to the regular season, just not AS much.

Also, as for the top teams steam rolling the bottom 2 in playoffs, if squads stay active a FULL 7 week season and sb throughout the weeks, all this does is make them better, which gives more of a chance of upsets in the playoffs. I'm not saying it will happen but it's very possible as it has happened already and has come very very close to happening.

We also have people saying it'll make the season 1 week longer, and this COULD be true since having a boat load of games on sunday might not be the best solution, and for that, there's no answer. It very well could make the season 1 week longer. Now ask yourself - and this is what ice is trying to say- is it better to keep the season 1 week short and have a inactive 3 weeks at the end of the season, or is it better to have a lot more competition and population/activity/sbs in the last three weeks leading up to playoffs and have double the population kicking around the league? I know where I stand.

As for the captains being asked, you're right staely, captains are supposed to represent their squads viewings and opinions for them. We all know that the captains are going to choose what they want more then their teams. #worsecaptainsever. Maybe try polling the whole community and see what numbers we come up with and go from there? I'm not too sure how you want to do it but that would be a start I think. But again, I've seen all the polls hes referring too, and hes not wrong or bias in what hes saying. It's the truth.

I'm just a firm believer that activity is key to success. Who knows, I could be completely wrong and it might be inactive as fuck like usual, but theres no harm in trying right?

What champ said is correct, we should try to stay away from bye's as much as possible. Also what mecca said is true, every squad will still aim to beat every other squads and show up and play hard. There's some good players on teams that wont make the playoffs and they're trying to help those other squads out by bringing competition to the game by joining lesser squads and they loose out on the ability to have a chance to make playoffs cause its only 4 squads in. I think if there's 6 going forwards youll find that there will be not AS much stacking because players go where they can get in playoffs.

All this next season talk acting like there will be another season where there's 8 squads. Hypo has been getting increasingly inactive as well as players flustered, that right there drops it to 7.

Other than cael; players saying they'll spread out the talent and bring another squad in never works out or at least hasn't the past 3 seasons up until bl nt.

Next season will probably be 6 or 7 squads regardless of the roster limitations you attempt to set again. And with that number even if the poll were to agree with a 6 squad playoffs it would be dumb, might as well skip the season and go right into playoffs.

If the community votes yes then this is the season to try it. Even if we all already know the outcome of who will make it (no offense).

Personally I dont care whether it's 4 or 6 but if it is truly brought up the last 3 seasons clearly there are those that do.

If the issue is scheduling or finding refs your first problem is the inactivity of your staff I've seen the same 3 People pretty much do all the matches the last 2 seasons with the occasional additional person chipping in.

First fire your inactive refs and hire people that will and if you can't find that then the community that wishes for this change needs to step up and help out the staff to assist in implementing this change. If need be I can ref it's not nor has ever been a difficult thing to do.

Once that happens it would not be hard to do a 6 squad playoff in one week thus not extending any time to the season. Also you could easily do 2 matches in the same time slot because to be honest nobody cares to watch all matches and if so it's not hard to go back and forth between arenas.

I really don't think referee's are a problem anymore. There's like 4 new additions and it's been HARD trying to reserve a game before others do. #ALBSTAFFOFTHEYEARSEASON6

Just looking at the referee sign up page, week 3 AND 4 are booked up already.

The playoffs are actually matches people want to see though Eric. We doubled them up at the same time last season and it sucked. Especially for the staff, can't switch back and forth when you're reffing one of the games.

Naturally prople who are for this decision are shitty noobs who camp for 30mins or play super passive.

I really can't be stand beating another camp rest of players, waste of 30mins because they failed during regular season.
