can we have an extended offseason, like 3 months. Then reboot USL without the shitty salary caps, and let captains make their own teams without having a bunch of shitty hoops and rules to jump through? Best season was the first one, even though it only had 6 squads. Then it became too competitive, people were playing to win at the cost of having fun, people started stacking, and abusing rules soon after. Just take a long needed break everyone, if you care about the game.. you'll let it heal before you stick the final nail in the coffin.

I don't disagree that the game became too competitive and stacking, abuse, etc. occurred. I'm curious to hear other thoughts, but will reference the recent poll results in the link below. Granted, there wasn't an option to wait X months...

Edit: Response to Z - would love to see your lag go down. Not sure how that might be done... would rely on the game admins to step in on that front.

Every offseason the main concern is always timing of the next season start. Every time people are concerned with how long the offseason lasts; due to the longer it is the less active people are.

3 months in my opinion is a bit much honestly id say a month max. But this might also be the reason for squad stacking.

Apollo; 3 months wont stop people from stacking or "playing with their buddies for fun" the same shit will happen like all prior seasons( aside from s1 apparently). The salary cap is the best way to diminish this and also promote a competitive season imo.

The game/league is dying has been for years, we have to shake it up and promote competition. Salary cap or draft is the best way to do this, even if there are those too childish to play with those who drafted them due to e-feelings, they can fuck right off and sit out.

The community has been the same for years due to the lack of enforcement or I guess balls by the staff/league to enforce whatever plan they have set forth, as they always back down or give in to the minorities demands.(i.e. roster cap last season)

Just to relieve Shasta and the rest of the players, I won't be a captain. I have a few things on my plate right and I'll just focus on calling my squad mates idiots in caps and reffing.

I'll agree that draft and salary would be more fair in terms of balancing, but I don't think anyone is looking at the bigger picture.. Take a player like Ernie, he'll probably be fairly expensive... If he decides to play and no squad can afford him that he would want to join, he would just not play.. and I think that goes for a lot of people.. To some people it will be like "hey I want to play, but I dont want to play with players I don't get along with. No squad that can take me has room.. I think I'll just not play"
Chances are, any top tier player.. if there was no room for them because of salary cap (assuming a roster full of top tier players is too expensive) Would just not play over joining a squad they didn't really want to. Especially in the games state.

Best thing to do is look at the douchebags who stack, and call them out publicly, in hopes that they would do the honorable thing, and not take more than they need and to look at the entirety of the league.

A problem that a lot of those top 20 may not care about. Relying on the benevolence of Infantry players is what got the league where it is.
