I don't think Palm is doing a terrible job, and I don't think Champion did either. The point has been made that there is always some reason to get mad at the admin, and it's a valid one. People get frustrated in this game, such is its nature, and we would certainly prefer to direct that frustration at staff rather than take responsibility or seek an active solution. Remember that in the same way an admin can make biased decisions, our own biases can cause us to perceive such decisions differently than they might have been intended or even carried out. Perspective is everything, and we all have different ones.

That being said, it's also a very good point that the recent lack of communication from staff on basic things, much less the important ones, is absurd. Even someone with their head completely up their ass can do great work simply by communicating with the players, and NOBODY is always right.

I like Pam, and I liked Champ, but if the former doesn't have time and the latter can't win the popularity contest, who would it be?

It's not difficult to poll the public on game changes (majority wins), assure that rules are clear and can be referenced back to for 99% of situations (covering everything may be impossible as there are simply situations that haven't happened yet and could happen in the future) and answer questions that are valid and necessary for moving forward. At most - it's an hour a week 'job'. I'm not sure why it's being made to seem difficult.

I think the admin is a smokescreen for the real issue. The game is very old, and it has been far too long since its had a review of its rules from a decade ago. Form a team to systematically read and revise the old rules for this new era.

And yes there will be complaints, no matter what decision is reached. Bad leadership makes no decision though. And I don't think majority rules is always the best decision. People who are invested in the game and offer up solutions have more of a say than trolls and naysayers.

We will always bitch when the admin isn't being fair, I know it's a game and you volunteer to be admin. But it's really not that hard to be punctual and unbiased. If it is... Don't accept admin position.

In all honesty though. We should just let the people run the league. Take 2 reps from each squad at the beginning of the season and they become the "ambassadors" for the season. When a problem arises they work things out together and vote on problems.

Hire 2 refs from each squad as well. Maybe vote on who they are so it's not biased.

As far as rules go get like 2-4 of the oldest USL players to rewrite the rules and modernize them for our current needs. This is all very simple guys. No need to lay the blame on 1 person anymore. IT'S UP TO YOUUUUUUUUUUU
