@yosh I insisted on 7s not to keep deaths down, but to actually be able to exit the base a few times. With 8s, I know what you guys would do to cover all exits and we wouldn't have gotten far passed rape lines more than once no matter how I lead.
I've always lead to find plentiful battles to help improve the team quicker. Fastest way to learn is to die a lot imo as opposed to hiding around keeping deaths down. Although I am considering a more conservative approach moving forward... I'll let wh and cs guess for this weekend if I show =)

Fact is it should be 8s, especially when we were going to allow you NTs and then you end up with 10-11 players online and you'd rather sit them "to keep deaths down" - c'mon.

To be fair, we only had 7s then infinity had to leave for Mtr 10 min in and we subbed in gb for Ryan. It was a thing called strategy. At first I disagreed with septic on why we are doing 7s instead of 8s but he was correct about the fact we only had to fight 7 stacked players instead of 8 stacked players

Bad for the league trax. No reason squads should have a hardtime showing 8 with 14 person roster limits. Although Hungry beavers pulled some shit like that vs Zero Tolerance last season.

Yeah - I agree with Jordan. You guys literally refused nt's, so we couldn't play Jake, who I think had 3 days remaining in his wait period. Otherwise we would've had 8.

The only other person was me, and I thought it was more valuable to record/broadcast that game than be playing in it, particularly as MP was playing for you guys already.

As for roster limits - I've been advocating that the default should be 8's in this league for AGES. 7's should only be permitted by a vote of both captains in the event that one team can't show a full roster. It's a "good sport" rule of sorts.

I've addressed my situation. And Mercy logged on mid-game that week. He wasn't there at the beginning of the game.

If they want to play 7s then let them play 7s stop being dictators vs these squads that are boosting your stats and shut the fuck up.

They are the ones playing with newer players. They are the ones that are trying to get better and learn the game. The more roster slots they need a fill will weaken the already weak lineup they have. If anything let them play 8vs7 or 9vs8. The camp timer rules and skill gap are already working against them. Camping would be the only thing they could do but that will not be tolerated. So these teams that don't even run anything vs them they just scatter across the map trying to get vision on them so they can rape them. Great league for these guys .. but who cares about them because it's only about you guys at the top and your stats and virtual trophies and awards .. l o l

I believe you misread what I wrote. I said it's not about keeping deaths down as to why I opted for 7s. It's so that we can actually exit rape lines for more than a few seconds before getting swarmed and dying. If you didn't misread...

Anyway initially yosh said no to NTs. You guys actually entertained the thought we purposely only showed 6 for the sake of backs' ban lol. Then you agreed to 1 NT shortly after I called your bluff saying u guys won't force a forfeit and miss out on stat padding.

That's all moot though in retrospect because I realize if only 6 players are in the arena, NT's are allowed by default per the rules. Refs seemed to have forgotten that as well. Our 7th player showed after start time, and 8th/9th as trax said showed later, well into the game.

Ultimately I don't mind if min cap is upped to 8 at some point, I am going to share my thoughts on it.

Which squad derives the most benefit/fits whose playstyle the most?

Will 8s increase enjoyable playtime, or slow the game down a lot more when 1 team has difficulty pushing out of rapelines 5-10min into the game? (spoiler, yes, and I believe it won't just be NYPD who slows things down a lot so that, again, teams can actually set up plays instead of dying just outside of rape lines repeatedly, as 8s allows full coverage of all exits on most/all maps)

Is upping the min cap to 8s purely for the sake of letting "1 more person play" a valid argument inherently? If it's about collective playing time, then squads who show more than the min cap, for instance 9 players a piece, should be forced to play all their players. Max cap needed at that point to avoid it feeling like pub?
