There should be rules for participations. For example, to make it less annoying, a person cannot be challenged more than 5 times a week, but then he has to duel once a week and only to an opponent that is of a higher ranking (he can duel more, but it wont affect ranking unless its someone higher up in the ladder). If a person do not participate, his ranking drops naturally.

But then you get to a point where, who will the top person duel? what if they just want to hide to keep their ranking? all these implementations have to be taken into considerations. I am sure there are plenty of loop holes to exploit with alts and buddy system to get around ever having to face anyone else.

Just add in point decay for the guys at the top so that they have to keep dueling to maintain position.

I don't like the idea of separating kb's and mousers. Everybody has access to both sets of controls, it's a preference, and the players that haven't learned to mouse yet are just hindering themselves. A mouse allows you to precisely access all of the rotation points around your character, while tapping a keyboard button to rotate actually skips several rotation points at a time, depending on your RRU.

And most mouse nerds pretend they're kbers to make people think they have actual skill instead of pointing and clicking

Pipe down, this thread is for discussing a dueling ladder, which you will be quite low on if you even participate at all. Judging by your forfeit history, I'd say it's a safe bet you'll tuck tail rather than risk losing publicly. You are a scared player, completely caught up in your own image, which is poor might I add.

Layout looks good, my concern is the same as Lunar's, that someone will pick and choose their matches carefully, get a good rating, and then AFK and not accept any challenges. Any plans for point decay or another similar fix?

Yes you need to keep participating or else you will be hidden from the standings.

It's going to be based on points anyway. If you get a good rating and go afk you won't be getting points. So you wouldn't be able to climb the standings either way.
